Rise Up and Sing Out: A Concert for the First Ammendent

Hosted by the Committee for the First Amendment (CFA) and No Kings

Featuring an all-star line-up of performers, this 90-minute concert event will celebrate the

freedoms guaranteed by our First Amendment—of speech, religion, press, assembly, and protest—

and the people's power that both fuels these rights and is essential to guarantee them.

More artists are being lined up as I write, so this is one you don't want to miss! Indivisibles and others

will be hosting events and watch parties all over Arizona, and you can host one too!

This will overshadow the Not-a-King's birthday, just like our rallies put the pathetic military parade to

shame last year.  When we join together, we know a new day is possible.

Vote Forward Evolution: A Deeper Dive

Join our Vote Forward staff and our volunteer community as we announce Vote Forward's latest

evolution from primarily a letter-writing program into a hub for volunteer-driven action that

strengthens our democracy.

Nine years ago, Vote Forward started with a single question: Can a handwritten letter from a stranger

move someone to vote? And the answer turned out to be yes!

Over the years, we’ve continued to ask hard questions about voter outreach, follow the evidence, and

work together to understand what we’re learning while driving millions of people to the polls.

Now we think that the big challenge we face in democratic participation is not just voter turnout. It’s

also about trust. Most Americans no longer believe that the government works for people like them,

which makes it harder to get people out to vote. Low voter trust depresses voter turnout, and low voter

turnout leads to a government that is not representative of or strong enough to deliver for the American

people. That only further depresses voter trust. It’s a cycle—one we need to break.
